These forms are only executed by Sensei authorized and very experienced Kyudojin.

Shintoistic purification ceremony of the four cardinal points which is performed in traditional court garb.

Two arrows are shot: the first destroys all evil influences, the second attracts auspicious powers.
This ceremony is practiced only by authorized persons.

The Makiwara or the Mato is shot at.

Sometimes the shooters use special arrows, e.g. with white feathers or 1 arrow each white and red.
These ceremonies are only performed by Kyudojin with a lot of practice and many years of experience.
